Explain the reasons for the Cold War?

The obvious reason that influenced the emergence of the Cold War was the existence of two large states in the geopolitical space. You could even say superpowers. And these two superpowers could not calmly coexist, because each of them had to prove the uniqueness and superiority of their state system over others.
