Explain the reasons for the conflict between the inhabitants of the colonies and the English crown. What reasons do you think are the main ones? why?

American colonists protested against the British government making decisions and laws concerning the colonies, bypassing the colonists themselves. Their representatives did not participate in the discussions, they were presented with a fact.

The rise in taxes and duties also did not add to the popularity of the English crown among American colonists. These measures hindered the development of American trade and stifled the economies of new cities.

Self-government of the colonies was also limited.

All these factors led to the proclamation of independence by 13 states and the US War of Independence.
