Explain the relationship between the unification of Germany and economic development.

Before the unification, the German lands were a collection of independent and small states, each of which was isolated from each other and in terms of the economy. When the borders fell and the customs was eliminated, the creation of a unified economic system in Germany began. Despite all the difficulties that faced Germany, the process of restructuring the economic sphere proceeded very quickly. Railway lines were laid and logistics were established, plants and factories were built. Germany gradually began to occupy a leading position in the world economy.
