Explain the role of ATP molecules in the cell.

Any cell needs energy. The main energy molecule for it is adenosine triphosphoric acid (ATP). ATP has three phosphorus residues, which, when cleaved from the molecule, release more energy, which the cell uses for all vital processes. ATP is practically not stored in cells, so they are forced to constantly synthesize new molecules. For this, each cell has special organelles.
Without energy in the form of ATP, any cell dies.
