Explain why earthquakes are frequent in the Philippine Islands.

As you know, the Philippines is an island state located off the southeastern coasts of Asia in the Pacific Ocean. These islands are highly seismic and have several active volcanoes. This is due to the fact that this archipelago is located on the Pacific Ring of Fire. This ring almost completely covers the Pacific Ocean, and there are many faults of lithospheric plates and underwater ridges. On the one hand, here several lithospheric plates move away from each other, and oceanic plates enter under the continental ones.
