Explain why the biological circulation of substances is the main condition for the emergence of ecosystems?

Ecosystems can arise and exist only where there is a cycle of various substances. All stocks of substances are limited, so they must be replenished. Our planet is the largest ecosystem that has been around for about 4 billion years. If the circulation of substances did not occur, then life ceased in a very short period of time. But the circulation of chemicals, water, air and the closed system allows organisms to exist all this time. Organic substances are converted into inorganic and used by living organisms.
