The development of France in the 5-15th century reveals it as a classical feudal state. At the beginning of the Middle Ages, feudal land tenure was formed in the country. Previously free people turned into peasants dependent on the feudal lords. But at the same time, trade was taking shape in France during this period. Also, the state had a high level of economy and industry. For a long time France remained an advanced country with a high level of economic development. But then the period of the reformation began, the feudal vestiges were gradually disappearing.
