Features of the nature of North America.

Throughout its history, North America has been in contact with South America and Eurasia and has been inhabited by animals and plants from both continents. Some of them began to evolve into new species in the new home. North America also had native animals that developed locally and spread around the world later, such as the horse and reindeer family. Mountain ranges that move from north to south, such as the Sierra Nevada, create barriers to animal movement.
