Features of the social and political development of Italy.

In the 4-9 centuries in Italy, there were several strata of society: patricians, plebeians, clients, slaves. The patricians were a privileged stratum, they had many rights and privileges. The plebeians were independent, who had no rights, but they tried to get closer to the patricians in order to expand their opportunities and get rights. Slaves had no rights, clients were a dependent stratum of the population.
The plebeians’ demands were met, so they caught up with the patricians. They began to belong to one class – the nobility. State power was in his hands.
