The body of gastropods consists of a head, trunk, and legs. Almost all gastropods have a shell that protects the soft body from damage. Only gastropods have a two-chambered heart. The rest of the mollusks have three chambers. Some gastropods are agricultural pests (garden snail). Some are eaten.
