Features of the structure of a plant cell.

Plants, like animals and fungi, belong to eukaryotes – organisms in the cell of which there is a formed nucleus. They have a general plan of the structure of cells.

But there are also differences associated with the peculiarities of life:

– a cellulose shell is located on top of the membrane in the plant cell. It provides protection, support and metabolism.

– there are chloroplasts with chlorophyll, the function is photosynthesis. There are other plastids – leukoplasts and chromoplasts.

– substances are stored mainly in the form of solutions in vacuoles.
