Find the angles of a regular n-gon if: а n = 5 b n = 10 c n = 18

As we know from the current school curriculum, all angles are the same in a regular polygon.

The general formula for finding the sum of the angles of such a figure: ∑yr = 180 * (n – 2).

Based on these two statements, we calculate the values of the angles:

a)

Let’s find out what each corner of a regular pentagon will be equal to:

180 * (5 – 2): 5 = 540: 5 = 108.

Answer: for n = 5, the angles are 108 °.

b)

Let’s find out what each corner of a regular decagon will be equal to:

180 * (10 – 2): 10 = 144.

Answer: for n = 10, the angles are 144 °.

c)

Let’s find out what each corner of the regular eighteen gon will be equal to:

180 * (18 – 2): 18 = 160.

Answer: for n = 18, the angles are 160 °.
