Find the area of a circle with a diameter of 12 cm.

Let’s find out through what number of centimeters the radius of our circle will be determined, when from the condition of the task we know that its diameter is equal to twelve centimeters:
12: 2 = 6.
From the school curriculum in geometry, we well know that the area of a circle can be calculated using the formula πR2, where R is the radius we found.
Let us assume by default that π will be equal to 3.14.
Determine how many centimeters square will be equal to the area of the circle:
3.14 * 6 ^ 2 = 113.04.
Answer: 113.04 cm2.
