Find the area of a circular sector if the corresponding central angle and radius

Find the area of a circular sector if the corresponding central angle and radius of the circle are known a) 300 degrees and 6 cm b) 250 degrees and 8 cm

The area of the circular sector is found by the formula S = (ттr ^ 2α) / 360, where тт = 3.14, r is the radius of the circle, α is the angle of the sector of the circle.

a) S = (3.14 * 6 ^ 2 * 300) / 360 = (3.14 * 36 * 30) / 36 = 3.14 * 30 = 94.2 cm2.

b) S = (3.14 * 8 ^ 2 * 250) / 360 = (3.14 * 64 * 25) / 36 = 139.6 cm2.
