| 1. Vertices of the rectangle – A, B, C, D. S – the area of the parallelogram. AD is 2 times more than AB. Perimeter (P) = 24 units.
2. АD = 2АВ (according to the problem statement).
3. P = 2 (AB + AD) = 24 units.
AB + AD = 12 units. We substitute here AD = 2AB:
AB + 2AB = 12 units of measurement.
AB = 4 units.
АD = 4 х 2 = 8 units of measurement.
4. S = AD x AB = 8 x 4 = 32 units of measurement².
Answer: S is equal to 32 units².
