Find the area of a trapezoid in which the middle line is 6, one base is 10, and the height is equal to the smaller base.

| Through the length of the midline of the trapezoid and one of the bases, we determine the length of the second base.
KM = (BC + AD) / 2.
2 * KM = BC + AD.
BC = 2 * KM – AD = 2 * 6 – 10 = 2 cm.
By condition, the length of the height is equal to the length of the smaller base, then BH = BC = 2 cm.
Then the area of the trapezoid is:
Savsd = (АD + ВС) * ВН / 2 = (10 + 2) * 2/2 = 12 cm2.
Answer: The area of the trapezoid is 12 cm2.
