Find the area of a triangle whose two sides are 43 and 6, and the angle between them is 30.

There are at least four formulas for finding the area. In order to find the area of a given triangle, it is enough to know the length of the two sides and the angle between them. We have these values from the condition of the problem. We must also use the formula:

S = 1/2 * a * b * sinγ;

The sine of thirty degrees is 0.5. These values can be taken from the sine table. Now we substitute all the values into the formula and find the area of the triangle:

S = 1/2 * 43 * 6 * sin30 = 64.5 cm²

Answer: the area of the triangle is 64.5 cm².
