y = -6x + 6.
We will solve the system by the substitution method.
Substitute the expression -6x + 6 into the first equation instead of y and get the system:
-6x + 6 = -11x – 8;
y = -6x + 6.
We solve the first equation of the system:
-6x + 11x = -8 – 6;
5x = -14;
x = -14: 5;
x = -2.8.
System of equations:
x = -2.8;
y = -6 * (-2.8) + 6 = 16.8 + 6 = 22.8.
