To find the abscissa of the midpoint of a segment:
x0 = (xa + xb) / 2;
To find the ordinate of the middle of a segment, use the formula:
y0 = (ya + yb) / 2.
We have enough data to calculate, we substitute the values into the formula and calculate:
x0 = (xa + xb) / 2 = (10 + 14) / 2 = 24/2 = 12;
y0 = (ya + yb) / 2 = (-8 + (-12)) / 2 = -20/2 = -10.
