| The graph of the function of a linear equation intersects the abscissa axis at y = 0. If y = 0, then
y = 1/9 x – 4
0 = 1/9 x -4
1/9 x = 4
Multiply both sides of the equation by 9:
9 * 1/9 x = 9 * 4
x = 36
