Find the mass of 1 m3 of an alloy if an ingot of this alloy has the shape of a rectangular parallelepiped with dimensions of 2 dm, 10 cm, 0.2 m and has a mass of 300 kg.

Decision.

1. Determine the volume of the alloy ingot. Let’s preliminarily bring the dimensions of the ingot to one unit of measurement. 2 dm = 0.2 m; 10 cm = 0.1 m.

0.2 * 0.1 * 0.2 = 0.004 m3.

2. If an ingot with a volume of 0.004 m3 has a mass of 300 kg, then in order to determine the mass of 1 m3 of an alloy, 1 must be divided by 0.004 and multiplied by 300.

1 / 0.004 * 300 = 75000 kg.

Answer: the mass of 1m3 of the alloy is 75,000 kg.
