Find the perimeter: a) an equilateral triangle with a side of 12 cm. b) an isosceles triangle

Find the perimeter: a) an equilateral triangle with a side of 12 cm. b) an isosceles triangle with a base equal to 7cm and a side equal to 13cm.

1) In an equilateral triangle, all sides are equal (= 12 cm). We find the perimeter by adding the lengths of all sides of the triangle: 12 + 12 + 12 = 3 * 12 = 36 cm.
2) An isosceles triangle has a base and two sides that are equal to each other. This means that we get that the two sides are 13 cm each, the base is 7 cm.We find the perimeter by adding all the sides of this triangle: 13 + 13 + 7 = 13 * 2 + 7 = 26 + 7 = 33 cm.
Answer: 1) the perimeter of an equilateral triangle is 36 cm. 2) the perimeter of an isosceles triangle is 33 cm.
