Find the perimeter of the KMP triangle if the KM side is 5 cm 8 mm, the KP side 1 cm 5 mm long the KM side but 2 cm 3 mm shorter than the PK side.
According to the condition of the problem, the side of the KM = 5 cm 8 mm.
The side of the KP is 1 cm 5 mm longer than the side of the KM, so we find the side of the KP:
5 cm 8 mm + 1 cm 5 mm = 7 cm 3 mm.
The RK side is 2 cm 3 mm shorter than the RK side. Let’s find the side of the RK:
7 cm 3 mm + 2 cm 3 mm = 9 cm 6 mm.
Thus, we have found all three sides of the triangle. Find the perimeter of the triangle by adding all the known sides together:
5 cm 8 mm + 7 cm 3 mm + 9 cm 6 mm = 22 cm 7 mm.
Answer: the perimeter of the triangle is 22 cm 7 mm.
