For this task, you must definitely draw a drawing of a rectangle (in the picture).

In the figure, we see the indicated sides and their meaning. Now it’s easy to find the perimeter. It is equal to the sum of the lengths of all sides:

P = AB + BC + CD + DA

P = 2 + 4 + 2 + 4 = 6 + 2 + 4 = 8 + 4 = 12

Answer: 12 units – the perimeter of the rectangle ABCD.
