The perimeter of a rectangle is the sum of all its sides, in order to calculate it, we find the unknown side, provided that the area is 48 cm² and the width is 6 cm.
S of the rectangle = a * b, substitute the known values into the formula:
48 = a * 6. To find the first factor, we divide the product by the second:
a = 48: 6 = 8 cm.
P = 2a + 2b = 2 * 6 + 2 * 8 = 12 + 16 = 28 cm.
