In order to find the perimeter of a triangle, you need to calculate the sum of the lengths of all its sides. We find out what the perimeter of a given triangle is equal to, if from the data presented in the problem statement we know that the lengths of its sides are:
AB = 2 2/5 m;
BC = 2.2 = 2 2/10 m;
AC = 2 1/2 m.
2 2/5 + 2 2/10 = 2 1/2 = 2 4/10 +2 2/10 + 2 5/10 = (2 + 2 + 2) + (4/10 + 2/10 + 5/10 ) = 6 11/10 = 7 1/10 m.
Answer: The perimeter of a given triangle is 7 1/10 m.
