Find the perimeter of the triangle KMP if the length of the KM side is 5 centimeters 8 millimeters the MP side is one centimeter 5 millimeters longer than the KM side but shorter by 2 centimeters three millimeters of the PK side

The MP side of the CMP triangle is 1 cm 5 mm (= 1.5 cm) longer than the CM side, and the CM side is 5 cm 8 mm (= 5.8 cm). Let’s find the length of the side MP:

MР = 5.8 + 1.5 = 7.3 (cm).

The MP side is shorter than the PK side by 2 cm 3 mm (= 2.3 cm), which means that the PK side is 2.3 cm longer, we find the length of the PK side:

РK = 7.3 + 2.3 = 9.6 (cm).

We calculate the perimeter of the CMР triangle (the perimeter is the sum of the lengths of all sides of the triangle):

P (CMR) = CM + MР + RC = 5.8 + 7.3 + 9.6 = 22.7 (cm) = 22 cm 7 mm.
