Since the two sides of the rectangle are known and they are not equal to each other, then they are its length and width. Then we calculate the value of the perimeter of the rectangle, equal to twice the value of the sum of the length and width, we get:
Perimeter = 2 * (18 cm + 12 cm) = 2 * 30 cm = 60 cm.
Answer: the obtained value of the perimeter of the rectangle ABCD, equal to 60 cm.
