The area of a parallelogram is equal to the product of its two adjacent sides by the sine of the angle between them:

SMKCD = MK * MD * sin M.

Knowing the value of the area, one of the sides and the angle, we can find the unknown side:

MD = SMKCD / (MK * sin 30 °) = 36 / (6 * 0.5) = 36/3 = 12 cm.
