Find the side of the rhombus if its area is 8√2 cm2 and the angle is 45 degrees.

From the school curriculum in geometry, we reliably know that in order to calculate what the area of a rhombus is, it is possible to use the following formula:

S = a ^ 2 * sin a where a is, of course, the length of the side of our rhombus, and sin a is, respectively, the sine of the angle that lies between the sides.

Let us determine what value will correspond to the length of the side of our rhombus, if from the condition of our problem we know that its area is 8√2 cm2, at an angle of 45 °:

a = √ (8√2: √2 / 2)

a = √4 = 2.

Answer: 2 cm.
