Find the sides of an isosceles trapezoid, the bases of which are 22 cm and 10 cm, if one of the angles is 120 °

1. Determine the angle at the bottom base.

(360 – 120 * 2) = 60 °.

2. Let’s omit the height and consider a triangle, which has one angle of a straight line, that is, it is equal to 90 °, the second is 60 °, and the third is 180 – (90 + 60) = 30 °. The leg, the length of which is (22 – 10) / 2 = 6 centimeters, lies against an angle of 30 °, which means that the hypotenuse, which is the lateral side of the trapezium, is twice as large.

3. We recognize the side.

6 * 2 = 12 centimeters.

Answer: 12 centimeters.
