| 1. Vertices of the rectangle A, B, C, D. S – area. AD is 2.5 times more than AB.
2. According to the condition of the problem, AD is 2.5 times greater than AB. Therefore, AD = 2.5 AB.
3. S = AB x AD = 250 units².
4. Substitute in this expression 2.5AB instead of AD:
AB x 2.5AB = 250 units ².
AB² = 100 units of measurement².
AB = √100 = 10 units.
AD = 2.5 AB = 10 x 2.5 = 25 units.
5. Sides of the rectangle AB = CD = 10 units, BC = AD = 25 units.
