By condition, we are given the volume of a cube. So we can find the edge of the cube from the formula:

where a is the edge of the cube.
Find the edge of the cube in accordance with the formula:
125 = a ^ 3;
a = 5 cm.
The face of a cube is a square. We know the side of such a square, which means that we can find its area by the formula:
S = a ^ 2.
Then we get:
S = 5 ^ 2;
S = 25 cm2.
Now let’s find the surface area of the cube:
25 * 6 = 150 cm2.
Answer: 150 cm2.
