The area of a rectangular parallelepiped is calculated by the formula: S = 2 (a * b + b * c + a * c).
a, b, c – the length of the edges of the figure.
In our problem: a = 3 cm, b = 5 cm, c = 8 cm.
We consider the area: S = 2 (3 * 5 + 5 * 8 + 3 * 8) = 2 * 79 = 158 cm2.
The answer to the problem: the area of the parallelepiped is 158 cm2.
