The aquarium is a rectangular parallelepiped.
It is known that its volume is equal to the product of three sides:
V = a * b * c.
According to the problem, the aquarium contains 15 liters of water: V = 15 liters = 15 dm³.
c – the height of the water column, c = 2.5 dm.
Find the surface area:
S = a * b = V / c = 15 / 2.5 = 6 dm².
Answer: The surface area of the aquarium is 6 dm².
