So, if we divide the surface area of the cube by 6, then we get the area of one face:

The area of a cube face is equal to the square of its side. Therefore, the side of our cube will be equal to:
a = √16,
a = 4 (cm).
As you know, the volume of a cube is V = a³, which means that the volume of our cube is: V = 4³ = 64 cm³.
Answer: V = 64 cm³.
