The volume of a cylinder is equal to the product of the area of its base by the height:
V = Sb. * H, where:
V is the volume of the cylinder;
Sosn. – base area;
H is the height.
Since the base of the cylinder is a circle, its area is calculated using the formula for the area of a circle:
Sosn. = πR ^ 2;
Sosn. = 3.14 * 3 ^ 2 = 3.14 * 9 = 28.26 cm2.
V = 28.26 * 5 = 141.3 cm3.
Answer: the volume of the cylinder is 141.3 cm3.
