Find the volume of a rectangular parallelepiped if its width is 1.2 dm, its length is 1.8 times

Find the volume of a rectangular parallelepiped if its width is 1.2 dm, its length is 1.8 times its width, and its height is 1.28 dm less than its length.

Decision.

A rectangular parallelepiped is a hexagon with each face being a rectangle.

1) Find the length of the parallelepiped.

1.2 * 1.8 = 2.16 dm.

2) Find the height of the parallelepiped.

2.16 – 1.28 = 0.88 dm.

3) Calculate the volume of the parallelepiped. To do this, multiply its length, width and height.

1.2 * 2.16 * 0.88 = 2.28096 dm3.

Answer: the volume of the parallelepiped is 2.3 dm3.
