Find the volume of a rectangular parallelepiped whose length is 21 cm and the width is 3 7 times the length and 30% of the height.
1) Determine how many centimeters is the width of the parallelepiped.
21 * 3/7 = 3 * 3 = 9 cm.
2) Find the value of the figure’s height.
To do this, divide 9 centimeters by 30%.
9/30% = 9 / 0.3 = 30 cm.
3) Determine the volume of the parallelepiped.
We multiply with each other the length, width and height of the figure.
9 * 30 * 21 = 270 * 21 = 5670 cm3
