| Find the volume of hydrogen that will be released in the substitution reaction between hydrochloric acid and aluminum, if 36 g of aluminum are taken, and hydrochloric acid is in excess.
1. Interaction proceeds according to the equation:
2Al + 6HCl = 2AlCl3 + 3H2 ↑;
2.Calculate the chemical amount of aluminum:
n (Al) = m (Al): M (Al) = 36: 27 = 1.33 mol;
3.determine the amount of hydrogen:
n (H2) = 3 * n (Al): 2 = 3 * 1.33: 2 = 1.995 mol;
4. find the volume of evolved hydrogen:
V (H2) = n (H2) * Vm = 1.995 * 22.4 = 44.688 dm3.
Answer: 44.688 dm3.
