| To solve this problem, you need to find the volume of the ball. To do this, recall the formula for the volume of a ball;
Ball volume formula:
V = 4/3 * P * R ^ 3, where V is the volume of the ball, P is the “PI” number equal to 3.14, R is the radius of the ball;
However, we do not know the radius to find the volume. Find the radius of the ball through its surface area;
Surface area formula:
S = 4 * P * R ^ 2;
From this formula, we find the radius of the ball:
R = √S / 4 * P;
Let’s substitute the data and calculate;
R = √615.44 / 4 * 3.14 = √615.44 / 12.56 = √49 = 7dm.
Let’s find the volume of the ball:
V = 4/3 * 3.14 * 73 = 1436.03 dm3.
