Finish the equation of the chemical reaction, arrange the coefficients using the electronic balance method, indicate the oxidizing agent and reducing agent H2SO4 (conc.) + Cu –

The reaction takes place between substances such as copper and sulfuric acid. As a result of the passage of such a chemical reaction, we get a salt of copper sulfate, tetravalent sulfur oxide and water is released. In order to equalize this chemical reaction, we need to put the number 2 in front of the sulfuric acid and in the reaction products in front of the water we also put the number 2. Graphically, this equation of the chemical reaction can be expressed as follows:

Cu + 2 H2SO4 = CuSO4 + SO2 + 2 H2O.

In this reaction, sulfur, an oxidizing agent, adds two electrons and is therefore reduced. And copper, a reducing agent, loses two electrons and therefore oxidizes.
