For which plants is mass selection effective and for which individual ones?

Mass and individual selection is different. With individual selection, certain organisms with the desired properties are selected. So it is possible to isolate a new variety of plants or breed of animals. With a mass selection, this cannot be done. It will not be possible to obtain a pure line of living organisms. But with this type of selection, it is possible to improve the general qualities of animals and plants. These are resistance to negative factors, improving reproductive function, and so on. Mass selection is used for grain crops, and individual selection for various flowering crops.
