Genetic relationship between the main classes of inorganic compounds. Carry out the transformations

Genetic relationship between the main classes of inorganic compounds. Carry out the transformations: Ca – CaO – Ca (OH) 2 – CaSO4; P – P2O5 – H3PO4 – Mg3 (PO4) 2

1) The reaction of obtaining by means of a compound of calcium oxide from calcium and oxygen.

2 Ca + O2 = 2 CaO
Calcium oxide reacts with sulfuric acid to form a calcium sulfate salt and water.

CaO + H2SO4 = CaSO4 + H2O
Calcium sulfate salt reacts with sodium hydroxide. As a result of this chemical reaction, sodium sulfate salt and calcium hydroxide are formed.

CaSO4 + 2 NaOH = Na2SO4 + Ca (OH) 2
We need to carry out the last reaction and get the calcium sulfate salt, for this we carry out the reaction of calcium and sulfuric acid.
Ca + H2SO4 = CaSO4 + H2

2) The first reaction, obtaining pentavalent phosphorus oxide from phosphorus and oxygen. Let’s equalize the reaction as follows.

2 P2 + 5 O2 = 2 P2O5
The second reaction, the interaction of pentavalent phosphorus oxide and water with the formation of phosphoric acid.

P2O5 + 6 H2O = 4 H3PO4
The third reaction occurs with the interaction of phosphoric acid and magnesium hydroxide. The magnesium phosphate salt we need is formed and water is released.

2 H3PO4 + 3 MgOH = Mg3 (PO4) 2 + 3 H2O.
