Geographical discoveries 17-18 century

In the epoch of the 17th – 18th centuries, many great geographical discoveries were made.
Here are the main ones:
In 1642, Abel Tasman made an expedition in search of the southern land. He made the discovery of Tasmania, New Zealand, and many other islands. That year he sailed Australia without noticing it.
In 1644 Abel Tasman reached the northern coast of Australia.
In 1697-1699 Vladimir Atlasov made an expedition to Kamchatka. And 10 years later, with Ivan Kozyrevsky, they sailed to the Kuril Islands.
