-Both civilizations of antiquity were located on the peninsulas, in this they differed from Egypt, Assyria and China.

-They did not have large rivers, like the Nile in Egypt or the Yangtze and Yellow River in China or the Indus and Ganges in ancient India.

-Similar climate. Short winters with little snow, hot summers.

-Have an outlet to the sea and actively used it, in fact they were at the crossroads of trade routes.

Differences:

-In Greece, there was not enough fertile land.
