Get from acetylene (CH2Cl) – glycerin

Let’s compose the equations:
C2H2 + 2H2 = C2H6 – acetylene hydrogenation reaction, ethane was obtained;
C2H6 + Cl2 = C2H5Cl + HCl – substitution, chloroethane is formed;
C2H5Cl + 2Na + CH3Cl = C3H8 + 2NaCl – propane is evolved;
C3H8 + Cl2 = C3H7Cl + HCl – substitution, chloropropane was formed;
C3H7Cl + Cl2 = C3H6Cl2 + HCl – substitutions, dichloropropane is released;
C3H6Cl2 + Cl2 = C3H5Cl3 + HCl – substitutions, trichloropropane was obtained;
С3Н6Cl3 + 3KOH = C3H5 (OH) 3 + 3KCl – exchange, glycerin was released.
The reactions show the connection of alkynes, alkanes, alcohols. Glycerin is used in the leather industry to soften leather, as well as in the production of resins and varnishes.
