| The atmosphere is the gaseous envelope of the Earth (or other celestial body).
The composition of the Earth’s atmosphere includes: nitrogen, oxygen, argon, carbon dioxide, hydrogen, helium and other noble gases. Various pollutants are also present in the atmosphere.
Nitrogen in the atmosphere is approximately 78%, oxygen – 21%, argon – less than 1%. The rest of the gases are in small quantities.
