Give a description of India’s agriculture.

Agriculture in India has always been distinguished by a high level of development and a variety of crops grown. Here, almost always and everywhere, a mild and warm climate prevails, a large amount of moisture falls out, a lot of river resources. The soils are fertile due to their feeding on silt from the Ganges River. There are huge plantations of rice, cereals (wheat, soybeans), legumes, corn. A large number of palm species, as well as fruits and vegetables are grown. India has always been famous for its spices and herbs (pepper, cardamom, cloves).
