Give a description of the breeding process using the example of a ciliate shoe.

Slipper ciliates are the simplest microorganisms that live in water. The peculiarity of the ciliate is that it is capable of reproducing both sexually and asexually. Asexual reproduction consists in the fact that the ciliate is divided in half. Then, from the two halves, various cell organelles are regenerated. The sexual process requires two ciliates, which exchange genetic material. The exchange of genetic material occurs when two ciliates are connected to each other by the oral sides.
